A little history
In 1850, a local notable, Doctor MORIN, invests a territory of very poor moors where there is then simply a mill and a large miller's house. The site is located on a small hill at the top of which a vein of white quartz is exposed. The place is naturally named the White Rocks.
Doctor MORIN decides to make it a place of enjoyment and undertakes considerable work to build a bourgeois house and its outbuildings. It probably relies on the skills of Italian builders who worked in the Clisson region near Nantes. The traces of their passage are clearly visible in particular with the arches of the barn and the surrounds of the openings of the house made of brick.
All around, he draws a landscape inspired by the influence of English-style parks with places open to perspectives bordered by more intimate wooded spaces. He brings in exotic tree species: Atlas cedars, Virginia tulip trees, Robinia. Finally, he digs the pond known as the "Mare aux Loups" which becomes a very popular walking destination.
This site has gone through more than 170 years of history and has been passed down from generation to generation to gradually move from the project of a man in the middle of the 19th century to a lively and rich place where heritage, environment, responsible agricultural production come together. , forestry and tourism.

The Domaine des Roches Blanches is a 19th century park which covers nearly 60 hectares. The site was classified as a national heritage in 2013 and a remarkable garden in 2020.

The main house is located in the center of this vast ensemble and presents some architectural features with the mansard roof (addition from the beginning of the twentieth century) and its wide openings crowned with brick vaults.
